A história conta sobre um enorme robô construído pelo cientista idoso Juzo Kabuto e pela herança esquerda, em sua morte, ao sobrinho adolescente Koji Kabuto (na Itália Ryo nesta série, depois Koji em The Great Mazinger e depois Alcor em Goldrke).
