How to Play Rummy - Basic Concepts

• Indian Rummy is usually played with two packs of cards with two jokers.

• Cards in each category rank from low to high: Ace, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, Jack, Queen and King.

• Ace can be used as 1 or a face card when forming the sets.

• Card values are as follows: Face cards, (K, Q, J) - 10 points, Ace - 10 points.

• Card vale of others is same as the numbers on the card (e.g. - 2 for 2 and 7 for 7).

Variants of Rummy

Point Rummy:

This game is a quick variation of Indian Online Rummy where each game is complete in itself and is played with points having a pre-determined value. Once the game is over and the points are settled, you have the option to leave the game or continue.

Deal Rummy:

This game is played on the basis of a fixed number of deals. The number of games will depend on the number of deals in the Rummy game. Once the fixed number of deals is over, the game is finished.
