If you have seen signs of wild boar, you can report it here.
If you've seen wild Vildsvin or signs of wild Vildsvin , you can report it here.
Vildsvin a disappeared from Denmark 200 years ago. Since then, there have been only a few stories of Vildsvin that have been horizontal from Germany and into Southern Jutland. The fact that there is immigration of wild animals from Germany. The wolf of the Thy National Park in the fall of 2012. Likewise, the mourish dog is immigrated from Germany.
A previous research project concluded that there was little forest in Southern Jutland, which limits the possibility of establishing a larger stock of Vildsvin . Eight years after this research project, we would like to elucidate whether we were right or not. We will therefore map if free Vildsvin have come to Denmark - and if so where they exist and how many there are.
This is done in a project in collaboration between the University of Copenhagen and the Agriculture & Food.
We will therefore ask landowners, nature users and citizens to report if they see - or have seen - frying Vildsvin or signs of Vildsvin in Denmark as well as where in the country it has happened.
What are the reports used for?
The reports will be used to map where any Vildsvin have been. The reporting tool is available to everyone.
The project is carried out by landscape manager Astrid Moltke as part of her thesis. Other pro-project participants are Henrik Vejre, Department of Geosciences and Nature Management, and Søren Saxmose Nielsen, Department of Production Animal and Horses, University of Copenhagen and Lisbeth Harm Nielsen and Lis Alban from Agriculture and Food.
