This unofficial app shows you the current Spare The Air status for the Greater Sacramento and San Francisco regions.

If you haven't noticed by now, there is a secret feature: a lockscreen widget

It's available to everyone on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) and higher, and has been since 1.0.0.7!

NOTE: There is an Android bug which will cause the device to reboot when updating an app that has a lockscreen widget. This unfortunately is beyond my control and requires Google to issue a fix.

Permissions:

Internet (INTERNET) - The app fetches data from a RSS feed, which requires internet.

Network State (ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE) - Used by the ads that are included (free version)

Start on Boot (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED) - Enable non-push notifications to continue after a restart

In app-billing (BILLING) - Enable purchase of paid features in the app itself.

The following permissions are required for Push messaging:

Get System Accounts (GET_ACCOUNTS) - Used for registering Push Notifications (I can't see your account information)

Prevent from Sleeping (WAKE_LOCK)
