Please ensure that you have subscribed to atleast one of the news channels. If not go to

Left drawer > Edit feed > Add feed > BSNL News > Check one or many news channels

Search or add feed manually >

a) Enter the Feed URL if you know it already. eg: http://www.thehindu.com/news/?service=rss

b) Else, try searching for eg: hindu news
